Drive Sober Wyoming应用简介
The Drive Sober Wyoming app is designed to help save lives and keep our roads safe from drunk drivers. The app is offered free to all users by the Wyoming Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving. There are several great features in the app for the user, including:
•The ability to find a safe and sober ride home with the handy Find a Taxi feature. This feature allows you to select the city you are in (or closest to) and find taxi companies along with their phone numbers.
•By selecting the “rides” feature, a list of the closest taxi companies is presented to the user based on their location.
•The app includes the Phone a Friend for a Ride and Text a Friend for a Ride functions. The user can populate 6 numbers/friends that they can call on for a safe and sober ride home.
•The Text a Friend for a Ride feature sends a text message to the selected friend with a message that says “I may be too impaired to drive, can you help?” The message includes the address of the user’s location in case they aren’t sure or in case they are too impaired.
•There is a one-button “Report a Drunk Driver” feature that allows the user to contact the law enforcement to report dangerous driving behavior.
•Also, we have included links to the Laws and Penalties that apply to driving impaired as well as a link that shows the costs associated with a DUI.
•An added benefit of the location information included in the text message feature is for hikers that may get lost. If they have a data connection, they can send a text message requesting help that includes their latitude and longitude for rescuers.
The Wyoming Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving is working on several initiatives to stop impaired driving in the state and this free app is one of those initiatives.
Please check our website at www.wgcid.org for additional information regarding our initiatives and information on impaired driving.
