Imagine standing on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, taking in a 360-degree vista that spans out across the canyon to the North Rim. Hikers and mules can be seen traversing the trail below you, and a park ranger points out the unique geological formations stretched out before your eyes. Now imagine encountering this while sitting at home on your couch. That’s the experience Grand Canyon Conservancy is bringing to audiences worldwide through a free app called TimeLooper.

The app will bring viewers to scenic viewpoints, historic buildings, the Colorado River, and exhilarating inner-canyon trails, all on the screens of their iPhones and iPads. Watch the introductory video to learn how to scan an area and use the app, and then visit areas like Bright Angel Trail, Mather Point, El Tovar Hotel, Kolb Studio, and more while learning about the history, culture, and wildlife of our grandest of national parks.
