Use this app to scan any Local Leaf product QR code and you will see exactly its entire growth history as well as exactly when it was picked and sent to your store. Discover why we’re dedicated to using sustainable growing practices and a values-driven model that works to help our communities grow strong. We’re open about our practices, sharing exactly where your produce comes from and how it gets there. We’ve created this mobile app that will let you track everything about your food – from seed to shelf.
Learn about how we give back to the community and how we use vertical farms with a commitment to transparency. We’re working locally to change the game when it comes to providing safe, nutritious, delicious, and sustainable produce for you and your family.
Our choice to use vertical farming was an easy one. Growing in a controlled and monitored indoor growing environment means:
– no exposure to harmful pesticides or herbicides
– no exposure to soil or other causes of contamination that lead to product recalls
– no use of GMO seeds
– using a water system that is ensured to be safe and contaminant-free
– protection against extreme weather events and a changing climate
Additionally, the use of data analytics and our hyper-local model allows us to reduce carbon emissions from transportation, use less plastic packaging and grow to demand in order to reduce food waste.
