There are many of us that take care of others, whether it’s a child or a parent or a neighbor that needs help to steward them through their healthcare and other issues. The iSteward app allows stewards and the “stewarded” to communicate with each other, all related to the person being taken care of. Partners like Hospitals, Pharmacies, Physician Offices, Insurance companies etc., can also connect with the stewards and the stewarded once their request to engage is approved.
It allows one to share observations about the stewarded with other stewards like family members, friends and loved ones; healthcare providers; service providers etc.. These observations are typically non-clinical like their social and physical conditions. When a stewarded has approved an engagement with a clinical care partner, the partner might request observations of clinical significance so they can provide better care.
Stewards and Stewarded can use the app to upload images we call postcards and exchange messages about the cared for. These postcards can be used any way one wants. In the case of the elderly, they could be images of prescriptions, the medicine cabinet, the contents of a fridge etc. If one is stewarding a child, they could be the immunization record, prescriptions, awards won etc.
The stewarded and the stewards grow the team by accepting and sending out invitations to join.
The app requires registration with iSteward.
